PRINTING

Screen Printing

* Description: A widely used method where ink is pushed through a mesh stencil (screen) onto the fabric. Different screens are used for each color in the design.
* Best For: High-volume orders, designs with limited colors, and items needing vibrant, durable prints. Often used for T-shirts and hoodies.
* Pros: Cost-effective for large volumes, vibrant colors, high durability of prints.
* Cons: Not cost-effective for small orders due to setup costs; limited color palette; longer turnaround times.

Direct to Garment (DTG) Printing

* Description: This technique uses specialized inkjet technology to print designs directly onto the fabric. It allows for high-quality, detailed prints with a wide range of colors.
* Best For: Small orders or designs with many colors, such as detailed graphics and photographs on T-shirts.
* Pros: Allows for detailed designs with a wide range of colors; softer feel of the print; suitable for small orders.
* Cons: Less cost-effective for large orders; print longevity can vary; mostly suitable for cotton fabrics.

Direct to Film (DTF) Printing

* Description: Printing involves printing designs onto a special film and then transferring them onto various fabrics using heat.
* Best For: Best for vibrant, detailed prints across multiple fabric types, making it ideal for versatile garment decoration and small to large batch printing.
* Pros: Suitable for a wide range of fabrics, including cotton, polyester, and blends; vibrant, high-quality prints with good washability; excellent for both small and large runs.
* Cons: Initial setup and equipment costs can be high; involves an additional step of transferring the print to the fabric; the texture of the print may be noticeable to the touch.

Embroidery

* Description: A process where colored threads are stitched into the fabric to create a design. Offers a professional and durable finish.
* Best For: Corporate apparel, hats, and high-end merchandise where a premium look is desired. Not typically used for detailed images or designs with many colors.
* Pros: Offers a premium look and feel; very durable; suitable for small logos and text.
* Cons: Can be expensive for large or complex designs; not suitable for thin fabrics or designs with fine details.

Sublimation Printing

* Description: A dye printing technique where special ink is transferred to the fabric under heat, turning from solid to gas without becoming liquid. It fully dyes the fabric for a seamless design.
* Best For: Full-color and all-over print designs, especially on polyester fabrics. Ideal for sportswear and promotional items.
* Pros: Produces vibrant, full-color images; print becomes part of the fabric, so it’s very durable; ideal for all-over printing.
* Cons: Primarily limited to polyester and polymer-coated substrates; can be more expensive.
